Thermax net up at Rs 287 cr
Energy and environment solutions company Thermax Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 287 crore during FY09, a marginal increase from Rs 281 crore in the previous fiscal. Income from operations was at Rs 3,211 crore (Rs 3,156) on the back of exports

Prabhudas Lilladher has come out with its earning estimates on capital goods sector for the quarter ended March 2009. According to the research firm, Thermax's March quarter sales are expected to go down by 0.2 % to Rs 915.5 crore on YoY basis.

Reduce Thermax, target of Rs 145: Emkay Global
Emkay Global Financial Services has downgraded its raing on Thermax from accumulate to reduce with a target of Rs 145. Standalone Q3FY09 operational performance was below expectations with (1) revenues declined by 6% yoy to Rs 7,951 mn, (2) no change in operating profit at Rs 1,074 mn and (3) net profit drop of 3.6% yoy to Rs 723 mn.

Buy Thermax on declines: Asit C. Mehta
Asit C. Mehta has recommended to buy Thermax on declines with a target of Rs 175. The company's net profit declined by 3.6% from Rs 750.3 million in Q3FY08 to Rs 723 million in Q3FY09.
